He talks about “ecstatic truth; a kind of truth that is the enemy of the merely factual,” including untruths that “make some essence of the man visible.”
This ties into Matthew Dicks storytelling book from I read last year and something my dad said about “never letting the truth get in the way of a good story” (link to post in the comments).
I’m not advocating making stories up or fabricating stories when understanding your customers.
I am, however, recommending getting an understanding beyond the mundane and telling a 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 rather than a list of attributes and includes elements of this “ecstatic truth” than people can relate to. Don’t be dry, make it alive
