Do you remember the movie “Her” that came out in 2013? It was an interesting take on what the future could look like, but I, like most people, never thought we would witness it in our lifetime.
CarynAI is an interesting development in this area. Caryn Marjorie has 1.8MM followers on Snapchat and has synthesised herself using GPT and her YouTube channel to create a virtual girlfriend who you can liaise with for $1/minute.
She’s apparently made $70k in her first week in beta, and hopes/expects to be making $5MM/month now she’s in the wild.
I tried to check it out (for research purposes) and the wait is already 32 hours. It’s not a service for me, but another whole new world is opening with AI.
