It’s hard for everything to be quantitatively determined, and there is often insufficient data and time pressure to make a decision. This means you have to use the data you have (quantitative and qualitative) to decide how to proceed.

I think this statement below outlines how difficult it is to counter an opinion stated with conviction. It’s easy to have an opinion, and seductive to think it is the right approach. Having to review your perspective and not have a horse in the race due to a new data point can be a humbling exercise. However if we prize rationality over being right this can have it’s own reward.

In the interests of a more rational and peaceful world 🌍 can I encourage you to check your bullshit and see if it’s grounded in facts.
