Managing oneself

“There is nothing worse than doing the wrong thing well”

As a relentless self optimizer I wholeheartedly recommend Peter Drucker’s “Managing Oneself” an article that he wrote for the Harvard Business Review.

What is interesting about it is that it outlines how you should behave in your career and a lot of that is about understanding the self:

Are you a reader or a listener? A solo commando or do you work well with others? When you know these you can work more efficiently

Is a more important question than “What do i want?”. Understanding work style, strengths and values can determine this.

I heartily recommend reading this. It doesn’t take very long and gave me some good insights even on the second and third read.
